Pregnancy Urine Test
How accurate is a blood pregnancy test 3 days before expected period?
I used home pregnancy urine tests 6 days before missed period and then 5 days before missed period and they each came out positive. However a hospital urine test came out negative. I am now 3 days before missed period and did a blood pregnancy test and I am awaiting results. If the blood results come back negative-is it safe to say I am officially NOT pregnant?
No, you are pregnant. If you had a positive urine, or blood test, then you are pregnant. Tests only show positive if the pregnancy hormone is present. Even though you got a negative also, this just means the hormone wasn’t strongly present enough to show up on the test. You can have a false negative, but not a false positive.
